This is getting to be a pattern, I think, as I make doubly sure Daneâs asleep and reappear beside the fire where sheâs asleep on her front, her head in her folded arms. Sheâs in a deep sleep, so she must have found and taken the pain sachet I left by her plate.
I frown as I see she still looks cold and cast a look of suspicion at Dane whoâs on the bed. The fire is hot. Thereâs no reason for her to be chilled now unless heâs making her that way with magick, which, I concede, he probably is, knowing him.
I kneel beside her prone form, thanking serendipity that sheâs on her front because it makes what Iâve come to do that bit easier.
With a quick, final look at Dane, I fold up her sack carefully, baring her arse to me. I frown at the angry welts and bruises that I caused only a few hours ago, tracing them lightly with my fingers. I remind myself that she wanted them, needed them and that she doubtlessly will again, though Iâm sure at the moment sheâd rather die than ask me. But itâs only a matter of time before the crimes that clearly weighing on her conscience begin to creep back into her head, and Iâll be the one giving her what makes her feel better. Itâs pain for the moment, but it wonât always be. There are other ways for her to pay her penances and Iâm going to show her what they are very soon.
âI do understand, you know,â I whisper in her ear.
She makes a noise in her sleep at my words and shifts a little as I move my hands over her, checking that her broken ribs and other bruises are healing well. When Iâm satisfied, I take out the pot of cream I brought and apply it liberally to the area of her body most recently damaged, the globes of her arse. I make sure they and the marks on her thighs are covered completely. Then, I widen her legs a little and slip my hand between them so I donât miss those last two that made her jump and squeal so beautifully.
When Iâm finished, I take a quick moment to do what I wanted to in the forest. I run a finger up and down her slit and shallowly enter her channel, probing gently.
Iâd known she was practically dripping after her spanking in the trees, but to hear her admit it aloud made me want to bend her over the table and see if I could get her that wet with my fingers and cock and no pain at all. Well, I smirk, maybe just a little pain.
She shifts next to me again, moaning quietly as I play with her.
âI canât wait to do this when youâre awake,â I murmur.
But I remove my hand before Iâm tempted to go further here on the cold wooden boards, even if she is receptive in her slumber.
No. The first time I take her, I want her awake and begging me.
